I'm delighted to welcome Joseph Duemer to the Plumbline School. & it seems an appropriate time for me to state that, though I have set some guidelines for this "school", I hope it will be a good collaborative exchange, a mutual learning process, for everyone who takes part. The possible meanings of a "middle way" in poetry are many and diverse, as are the possible models or examples of the kind of poetry that illustrates a "plumbline", as well as the possible applications of this idea to current debates & polemics (in the poetry blogosphere and beyond). Not to mention all the areas of interest here which impinge on our own poems & practice.

So I think there's plenty to learn & talk about...
